Politics of Ogun state and why Yewa candidates may never be Ogun state governor if...

Honourable Sarafadeen Ogunwoolu have said that no Yewa man can ever emerge as the governor of Ogun state.

Ogunwoolu, one of the political chieftain in Ogun Central Senatorial district made this known to journalists in Abeokuta today, Thursday.

In his lengthy address titled 'Politics of Ogun state and why Yewa candidates may never be Ogun state governor if...', Ogunwoolu said Nigeria constitution never recognize Yewa, but Egbado.

His address read thus;

POLITICS OF OGUN STATE AND WHY YEWA CANDIDATES MAY NEVER BE OGUN STATE GOVERNOR IF……

PREAMBLE
I have decided to fault the marginalization claims of Egbado Political Leader who at one time or the other deceived the younger generation of the old Egbados now known as Yewa, that Egba and Ijebu are marginalizing them. I felt so much disappointed that instead of institutionalizing Nigeria Politics, we go about to deceive younger generation with the claim of marginalization while we gave our polity into the hands of businessmen and women, their inexperience is one of the Bain of the Nigeria problem (we worshipped money, we don’t study politics).

It was this seal that made me to challenge peoples representative from Yewa Area to sponsor Motion and change of Egbado to Yewa as Yewa does not exist nor known in Nigeria. The Fifth Schedule of the 1999 Constitution is yet to recognize Yewa as it only recognized Egbado North and Egbado South, unless this amendment is done, Yewa is yet to be recognized by the Nigeria instrument of civilian administration, peoples’ representatives still need to note this.

NOW TO OGUN STATE POLITICAL HISTORY
Egbados as formerly known before the change to Yewa are Yoruba people all who migrated from Ife, Oyo Empire to settle at the Southern Part of Egbaland. They claimed to be differ to the Egbas, but History foretell their closeness to Egbas and Dahomy now known as Republic of Benin today. This cannot be thrown out.

History revealed that powerful men in those days chose slavery as their lucrative business apart from hunting and farming, hence they wage wars against one another to secure Numbers Slave to be sold at the coasts to make money.

History informed us that because of the unity of Egbas under Sodeke, the former Youth Leader whom Lamodi the Balogun of Egbaland handed over to complete his job of leading the Egbas to where the Egbas settled today, known as Abeokuta, Egbas are united or has common front for war.

Sodeke, a Powerful Leader, succeeded Balogun Lamodi and led the Egbas to Abeokuta, it is the unity Egbas enjoyed under Sodeke that assisted them at winning so many wars, this and other factors made the Egbado who had their Villages scattered and revered to their Villages as Towns to approached and signed Treaty with the Egbas for safety from wars, particularly from the Dahomians.

In 1862, some Egbado Townships witnessed series of wars, and it was some of these wars that made Ibara, Ilewo, Ishaga, Ijeja etc to decide to join the Egbas and settled themselves with the Egbas in Abeokuta, where you have the Egbado Settlements like Ibara, Ilewo, Isaga, Joga etc. Then, each of them has their separate Obas, it was these wars that brought Emado, Saala, Orile, Keesan, Aibo etc altogether to form the Township known as Ayetoro while each of the Townships become Quarters in the Township known as Ayetoro today (i.e. Aibo Quarters, Emado Quarerter etc).

Ilu Aro which is known as Ilaro today continue to claim Headquarters of the Egbados. Egbados has their separate organization before the wars that forced them to look for assistance of the Egbas. Ita-Oshin/Olomore use to be their boundary between Egba and Egbado in those days.

Ota where you have the Aworis are separate clan before, but due to incessant wars, they bowed to the Egbas and became Egba Ota. Today, some Townships were called Ijoko Ota, Ilogbo Ota, Atan Ota etc because of their nearness to Ota, but were Egba Towns Ijoko Lemode today is known by some peole as Ijoko-Ota whereas they belong to Ijoko Egba which has their Parliament House known as Ile Ogboni at near Ijemo Agbadu, Abeokuta.

Ijako Ota belongs to the Egbas and also has there Ogboni House in between Ijemo Agbadu and Ijemo Alape, Abeokuta. Ilogbo belongs to the Egbas with their Ogboni House close to Ijaye, Erunbe, Ijoko, Abeokuta, Olota was Number 5 in the Egba United Government, 1951 Administration. Minutes of Egba United Government 1951 affirmed the above.

In April, 1973, the Old Western State has 39 Local Government Areas out of the Old Western State Provinces, Four (4) Local Government for the Ijebu Province and they are known as Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Ijebu-Igbo Local Government, Ijebu Waterside Local Government and Ijebu-Remo Local Government while the Egbas/Abeokuta known as Abeokuta Province has Egba Local Government Council, Egba Otta Local Government Council and Egbado Local Government Council, each of these Councils are presided over by the Senior Oba in that Local Government Area.

Awujale was the President of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Ijebu-Igbo Local Government and in his absence the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo shall preside. Awujale was also the President of Ijebu Waterside Local Government, in his absence, an Oba in the Area presides over while the Akarigbo was the President of Ijebu-Remo Local Government.

Alake was the President of Egba Local Government, Olota was the President of Egba Otta Local Government while Egbado Local Government was presided over on Rotational bases among Five Sections of their 13 Obas ((i) Olu of Ilaro (ii) Alaye of Ayetoro, Aboro of Ibooro, Olu of Imasayi, Olu of Ibese (iii) Onikola of Ikoolaje Ipokia (iv) Oba of Ado-Odo, Oba of Igbesa (v) Olobi of Ilobi, Oloke-Oda of Oke-Odan, Alase of Ilase, Onihunbo of Ihunbo).

Each of the Local Government has numbers of appointed Councillors depending on the size of the Local Government.

In the month of September, 1973, the Old Western State Local Government were reduced to 37, then it affected one of the Ijebu Local Government where Ijebu-Igbo Local Government was merged with Ijebu-Ode Local Government, this was the month and year the New Reform introduce with appointed Chairman, Vice Chairman for the Six Local Government which eventually became Ogun State on the 3rd February, 1976 (Two Provinces were merged together Abeokuta/Egba Province and Ijebu Province each with three Local Governments).

These means Ijebu Province has Three (3) Local Government Areas, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Ijebu Waterside Local Government and Ijebu-Remo Local Government, while the Abeokuta Province has Egba Local Government, Egba Otta Local Government and Egbado Local Government, each of the two Provinces has three, three Local Government before the creation of Ogun State on the 3rd February, 1976.

The Two Provinces became one State by accident as Ijebu Province were agitating for Ijebu State and the Egbas were agitating for Ogun-Yewa State. Prominent persons like Oba M.S. Awolesi – Akarigbo of Remo, Oba Samuel Akinsanya – Isara, Oba D.M. Sotinwa, Oba J.T. Awosanya, Oba G.A. Awolumate, Oba Abass Adeola etc signed Memorandum of the Ijebu State, while Oba Oyebade Lipede – Alake of Egbaland, Oba Raufu Adeosun – Agura of Gbagura, Oba Alimi Adedamola – Osile of Oke-Ona, Chief S.O. Sogbein, Chief Adejoju Adeyemi, Chief Toye Coker etc also signed the Memorandum of the Ogun-Yewa State then the Egbas canvassed the Igboora/Eruwa now in Oyo State to be part of Ogun-Yewa State, from Ayetoro Roundabout, Abeokuta to Igboora is not more than 25 minutes drive on the road provided by the Awolowo led Administration linking Igboora, Eruwa to Abeokuta, no wonder why these Ibarapa people who rejected been part of Ogun-Yewa State are now lamenting their distance to Ibadan the Capital of Oyo State today. (From Egba signed Memo to join the Egba, while the people rejected).

Late Pa Jerimiah Obafemi Awolowo was known as revered Leader of the Egbas and Ijebu Province. He prepared Memorandum for Ijebu State and when both Egba and Ijebu Province were to be merged together as Ogun State, Papa Awolowo wanted the State Capital to be at Sagamu knowing fully that it is only the road leading to Ikenne that could be proposed as State Secretariat at Sagamu. Opposition rose from Ijebu-Ode led by Awujale of Ijebu land, that the Remos are subordinates to Ijebu-Ode.

It was this misunderstanding that woke Egba from slumber, and made them realized that they had Obasanjo as Second in Command during Muritala Regime and requested that Abeokuta be cited as Capital of Ogun State. Eventually, Abeokuta became the State Capital, with the First Secretariat cited at behind of Nigeria Prison Yard, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta, later to Oke-Ilewo before moving both the Mini Secretariat and Governor’s Office to its present site at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Pa Awolowo who is referred to as Leader of Politics in the West knew if he failed to dialogue with the Egbas, Egba may have the State Capital and Governorship which to him was another important big thing/post in Civilian Administration. Awolowo, Owotomo and many Leaders from Ijebu came to meet with the Egba Political Leaders where they rejoiced with the Egbas who secured the State Capital and made the Egbas realized why they should concede Governorship to the Ijebus.

It was at the Egba and Ijebu Province Leaders Meeting that the issue of who becomes the 1st Civilian Governor resolved, there it was agreed that Ijebu Province be allowed to produce the First Civilian Governor with an agreement of Four (4) Years Tenure to each. When Ijebu Province is Governor, Egba Province will be Deputy and when Egba Province is Governor, Ijebu Province will be Deputy Governor while all Political Leaders were either appointed as Commissioners, Board Chairmen and Board Members.

Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo refused to compromise and refused to be Deputy Governor from Egba Province. His refusal made the Egba Leaders to approach 2 Young Vibrant Academicians, Dr. Femi Okurounmu from Ijemo and Chief Olusesan Akanbi Soluade from Erunwon. Chief Soluade enjoyed the highest support of the Egbas as the Leaders believed he could be trusted like his father who was a trusted Councillor in the Egba United Government in 1951.

Olusesan Akanbi Soluade was the H.O.D. Department of Arts at Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Oke-Ijeun/Isabo, Abeokuta. He was just transferred from Lisabi Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta to Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Oke-Ijeun/Isabo, Abeokuta, then.

After the success of Chief Olabisi Oyeyensi Onabanjo and Chief Olusesan Akanbi Soluade as the First Civilian Governor and Deputy Governor, the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) Leaders reconvened and persuade both Olusoji Odunjo and Chief Okurounmu to accept working with Chief Olabisi Onabanjo as Governor of Ogun State while the Ogun State Executive Council was formed across all the Six (6) Local Government or the Two (2) Provinces of Ogun State. Then, Chief Akinola Adaramaja became the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. George Adetola Sotinwa – Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Thomas Bandele Adebayo – Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo – Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Chif Olufemi Adewunmi – Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Chief Elijah Oladele Akinbode – Commissioner for Industries, Chief Oyebola Akinola – Commissioner for Home Affairs, Local Government and Information, Mr. George AKinola Ogunpola – Commissioner for Education, Dr. Olufemi Okurounmu – Commissioner for Trade and Cooperatives, Alhaji Isiaka Abiodun Sanni – Commissioner for Health and Social Welfare. They were all sworn in at the Governor’s Office on the 4th day of October, 1979.

Above is enough to state that all parts of Ogun State were in the All Inclusive Government of Chief Olabisi Babayemisi Onabanjo, the Two (2) Provinces were duly represented.

During the Administration, Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo and Egba/Egbado famous radical Lawyer who initially bent that he been the 1st appointed Chairman will want to be First Executive Governor was not carried away by the settlement which gave him Commissionership, having rejected Deputy Governor which goes to a Secondary School Teacher who was at that time a Civil Servant and not a Card carrying member of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN).

Research into what made it possible revealed that during 1951, his father being an Elected Councillor form Erunwon, Abeokuta was a trustworthy person, hence the compensation of his Son as Deputy Governor.

Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo, after two years started gathering members of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) together to claim the Agreement of four-four years tenure for the Egba Province, like the Ilaris in Oyo Empire in the olden days, some people went and instigate Governor Olabisi Onabanjo that his Commissioner Chief Olusoji Odunjo is planning to succeed him when he complete the four year tenure. He was advised to change the Portfolio of Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo.

Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo was moved from his Ministry, Lands and Housing to Commissioner for Special duties to be directly under Chief Olabisi Onabanjo’s watch. Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo accepted the transfer but continue his plans to succeed Onabanjo, then that the ambition of Chief Olusoji Odunjo had ben blown open. There was advice on him to resign or withdraw from the Cabinet of Chief Olabisi Onabanjo which he eventually did, but refused to step down that an Agreement is an Agreement whether written or verbal.

Chief Olusoji Odunjo ahd purchased numbers of Volkswagen Buses known as Kombi Bus or Danfo. Odunjo has the supports of the Egba youth while Olabisi Onabanjo through the party organized Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) Youth Forum to counter Soji Odunjo’s boys. Chief Dokun Adesanya later a Principal at Orile-Ilugun, Abeokuta-Ibadan Road future as Leader of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) Youth wing in those days.

It was then the Slogan or Political Song: “Odunjo Sorogbe, Sembele lotun, Sembele losi, Sembele and E se wo (2ce), eyin Omo Kekere Alafojudi, e se wo, kema ba ku ni kekere” became their Songs because of Rivalry of the Odunjo Boys, they were warning the UPN Youth with the Songs: “E se wo, ki e ma ba ku ni kekere, enyin Omode Alafojudi e se wo kemaba ku ni kekere”.

When these became threat to the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), the revered Leader of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), Chief Obafemi Awolowo called Soji Odunjo to allow his boss, Chief Olabisi Onabanjo to go for Second Term, but Odunjo refused bluntly that an Agreement is an Agreement, Chief Awolowo wondered if a Commissioner could beat the Incumbent Governor, hence he agreed that they should go to congress, known as Electoral Primary, it was agreed that a Saturday be fixed for the Primary/Congress and to hold at the then Saint Louis Teachers Training College, Onikoko, Abeokuta, now known as Navy Secondary School, Onikoko, Abeokuta today.

Barely 72 hours to the Primary/Congress, Chief Tunji Otegbeye from Ilaro Axis and Chief Jonathan A.O. Odebiyi from Ibooro, via Ayetoro showed intention to contest the Primary meaning that 3 Contestants from Egba/Abeokuta Province are contesting the Governorship against Chief Olabisi Onabanjo which Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo an Egba/Egbado man singlehandedly fought for.

Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo from Egba, Chief Jonathan A.O. Odebiyi from Iboro-Ayetoro (Yewa North), Dr. Tunji Otegbeye from Ilaro (Yewa South) were the 3 Contestants from Egba Province while only Chief Olabisi Oyeyensi Onabanjo was the only Candidate from Ijebu Province.
Ogun State Unity Party of Nigeria then has 50 Delegates to decide who wins. The Egba, Egba Otta and Egbado has 30 Delegates, the Ijebus, Ijebu-Ode, Waterside and Remo has 20 Delegates, these among others were Chief Olusoji Odunjo’s calculations before his brothers showed intention to compete with him. Egba and Egba Otta conceded their 20 Delegates to Chief Olujosi Atanda Odunjo while Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu Waterside and Ijebu Remo concede their 20 Delegates to Chief Victor Olabisi Oyeyensi Onabanjo, Egbado who had altogether 10 votes shared their votes, given Chief Jonathan Odebiyi 6 votes, 4 votes to Dr. Tunji Otegbeye.

The First Ballot resulted 20 votes for Chief Olusoji Odunjo, 20 votes to the Incumbent Governor then Olabisi Onabanjo, which made the two to have tight votes. If a Delegate from Egbado had voted for Chief Olusoji Odunjo (an Egba/Egbado man), he would have won by one vote, but rather, the Egbado Delegates insisted that they are not related to Egba, hence the genesis of transformation from Egbado South and North to Yewa South and North.

At the Second Ballot, the Egbas begged the Egbados that they are one Province but refuse to support their Son, Chief Olusoji Atanda Odunjo who hails from Ibara Egbado and Ibarapa, Abeokuta simply because he has Egba blood, and lost lost in the Primary Election.

They eventually voted for Chief Olabisi Onabanjo who won the Second Ballot for the Second four years tenure, which commenced from 1st October, 1983 but was terminate in Buhari/Idiagbon Military Intervention of 31st December, 1983 thereafter series of efforts were made to return power to Civilian but without success until General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida succeeded Buhari/Idiagbon Administration.

In 1987 Zero Party Election were conducted at Local Government Level with Strokes I II III IIII IIIII IIIIII were symbol of recognition of contestants in the Existing Local Government in 1990, ban on formation of Political Parties was lifted, Peoples Solidarity Party, C.N.C, Peoples Front of Nigeria (PFN), National Peoples Party (NPP) etc were formed, before the then Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida introduced Two Political Parties, Social Democratic Party (SDP), National Republican Convention (NRC) was introduced. The Two Political Parties, a little bit to the Right and Left brought the merger of Social Democratic Party and Peoples Front together to become one while others CNC, NPP and others merged to become National Republican Convention (NRC). It was that time some candidates from Ijebu Province stood to contest for Governorship of Ogun State, Jubrial Martins Kuye, Gbolade Osinowo and others were among those who aimed at contesting the Governorship, when Egba Province Political Party Leaders stood their stand that the Ijebu Province should concede Governorship to Abeokuta Province, then all aspirants from Ijebu Province stepped down and Egba Province were left to slog it out within themselves.

In the Social Democratic Party (SDP) are:
Chief Olusegun Osoba - Abeokuta
Alhaji Lateef Ogunsiji - Imeko Afon
Chief Dele Adelakun (Baase Igan-Okoto) - Igan-Okoto, Ayetoro
Chief Afolabi Olabimtan - Ilaro
Chief Femi Majekodunmi - Abeokuta
Chief (Mrs.) Titilayo Ajanaku - Abeokuta
Alhaji (Chief) Ganiyu Omolaja Badmus - Abeokuta
Chief Fola Omidiji - Abeokuta
from the National Republican Convention (NRC) are:
Chief Alani Bankole - Abeokuta
Chief Aderupoko Coker - Abeokuta

Eventually, Chief Olusegun Osoba was given the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ticket, while Chief Aderupoko Coker represents National Republican Convention (NRC). Chief Olusegun Osoba won the Election defeating his Brother, Chief Aderupoko Coker.

Chief Olusegun Osoba shared his Cabinet within all the Local Government Areas of Ogun State to all Leaders with their Party in Ogun State, he appointed Chief Sefiu Adegbenga Kaka from Ijebu as the Deputy Governor, Bashorun Muyiwa Oladipo was the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Justice Kayode Somolu was the Attorney General, Deacon Poju Adeyemi was the Secretary to Ogun State Government twice, Surveyor Godwin Ogun – Head of Service, Chief Oluseyi Oyebolu – Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Evangelist Samuel Durojaye – Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Lateef Ogunsiji from Imeko – Commissioner for Information, Chief Segun Adesegun – Commissioner for Works, Chief Jide Ojuko – Commissioner for Commerce and Tourism, Engr. Shina Egberongbe – Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Babatunde Runsewe – Commissioner for Industry and Social Welfare, Isiaka Popoola – Commissioner for Health, Engr. Yomi Ademefun – Commissioner for Education, Chief Segun Taiwo – Commissioner for Sports, Youth and Culture. Where is the marginalization?

Otunba Gbenga Daniel Administration commenced in year 2003 and after the 1st Four year tenure. He was given another four year tenure 2003 to 2007 and 2007 to 2011.

According to the Political arrangement in Ogun State, it has come to Egba Province, hence Senator Ibikunle Amosun from Abeokuta Egba Province, comprising Egba, Egbado and Egba Ota commenced.

Having allowed Otunba Gbenga Daniel for 2 Terms Eight (8) Years, Senator Ibikunle Amosun Administration was billed to complete 2 Terms of 8 Years Tenure to balance equation, but after it was suppose to be turn of Ijebu Province to choose anyone from the three former Local Government or Ijebu Province, Senator Ibikunle Amosun without consultation decide and singlehandedly gave the mandate to Akinlade, Triple A, just as Otunba Gbenga Daniel intended to be succeeded by Gbenga Nasiru Isiaka (a.k.a GNI) before some Political Leaders came up that the self decision of the later cannot hold, hence, the call for Prince Dapo Abiodun whose interest initially was to go to the Senate.

Having got the supports of the Ijebus and some Political Leaders against the self proclamation of Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Prince Dapo Abiodun won the Gubernatorial Candidature of the All Progression Congress, hence the beginning of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s rebellion against All Progressive Congress (APC) and started financing Allied Peoples Movement (APM) against the Candidature of his Party APC Candidate.

Amosun’s believe that as Governor of Ogun State for Eight (8) years, he has pocketed his Party and other Registered Political Parties whom he has also deceived that would be part of his all inclusive government. I pity Yewa people for allowing themselves to be use against the Progressive Party in Ogun State.

When would the success come when their mentor has no focus, belong to PDP, APC, ADC, APM etc. Only a Political Conference/Dialogue can make any Yewa Candidate Governor of Ogun State.

Today, we have ADC Governorship Candidate from Yewa, NNPP Governorship Candidate from Yewa, Deputy Governorship Candidate of PDP from Yewa, whereas Yewa has only Yewa North and Yewa South Local Government. Imeko Afon are Ketu’s whereas Alaketu of Ketu is a Brother to Alake of Egbaland. The Eguns have a Section is Abeokuta whereas the Anogo and Egbas settled at Ipokia Local Government Areas.

Only Ogun State Political Conference or Dialogue can make anyone from Yewa Governor of Ogun State.
(1) It has been established that Ogun State came out of the merger of Two Old Provinces (i) Egba Province and (ii) Ijebu Province and Governorship are shared between the two Provinces and not Senatorial District or Division.

(2) That at no time was there any agreement of sharing Governorship among Senatorial Districts as Section 71 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) enshrined the purpose of creation of 3 Senatorial District in all States of Nigeria (simply to have equal representation at the National Assembly).

(3) Yewa North, Yewa South, Ipokia and Imeko Afon Local Government were part of Egba Province.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun believed in his cleverness, promise the Leader of All other Registered Political Parties under the ages of All Registered Political Parties or Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) of inclusion of the Party Leaders in an all inclusive Government, but this was a deceit of highest order.

Amosun was however disappointed after the APC Presidential Campaign where he openly instigated Allied Peoples Movement (APM) party members against his party All Progressives Congress (APC) that made him Governor of Ogun State, the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari, his entourage, National Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) which include Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Rauf Aregbesola, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Senator Olugbenga Obadara had to thrown away their customized APC Caps and ran to escape to save their lives.

But surprisingly, Prince Dapo Abiodun emerged the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hence from where the rebellion of Amosun began against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun believed in his smartness to become the Political Field Marshal of Ogun State Politics forgetting his mentor Chief Olusegun Osoba is still alive.

Ideally and in accordance with the Provisions of All Progressives Congress (APC) Party’s Constitution Article 9.2, Senator Ibikunle Amosun had subjected All Progressives Congress (APC) to public odium and disrepute, he has failed to observe the Party Rules and Regulations. He was financing Allied Peoples Movement (APM), African Democratic Congress (ADC) against the All Progressives Congress (APC), all his actions amount to gross misconduct.

Article 21 of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Constitution deals with the Anti-Party Activities 21 (B1) enshrined procedure for hearing and determination of any Complaint against any member of the Party yet Senator Ibikunle Amosun who the 5th Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) referred to as a Public Officer having being a Peoples’ Representative at the National Assembly, whom the Code of Conduct for Public Officer prohibit from doing any act against his office (Campaigning, financing another Political Party without resignation from APC) means continue disrespect the Nigeria Constitution and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Constitution.

It is on the above that I believed an Ogun State Political Conference be organized and enlighten all those concerned of the gravity of Dialogue in Ogun State Politics. Yewa Governorship requires dialogue and not confrontation.
