On the 17th April 2020, the 2019 Ogun Central senatorial candidate under the umbrella of Abundant Nigerian Renewal Party (ANRP), Hon Olumide Jones has celebrated his 50th birthday in a grand style.
His campaign manager in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has stated that Hon Olumide Jones has put smiles on the faces of hundreds of his followers, well-wishers and party members.
He reported that Hon Olumide Jones did this by sending money to the accounts of different categories of people in need, as there was no opportunity to come together due to the ordered lockdown, during the ongoing pandemic.
He further stated that the lists were gathered through the data collections during the 2019 collection.
The amounts gifted varied between 2k and 10k:
100 were credited with 10k
500 were credited with 5k
200 were credited with 2k
Hon Olumide Jones now urges the Federal Government of Nigeria to follow in suit, and give back to the people, especially in a difficult time like this.
Hon Olumide Jones came 5th in the Ogun State Central elections, after APC, ADC, APM and PDP, that was presented by INEC.(making him the lead among all other existing and new political parties.)
