Why I Sponsored Education Of Less-Priviledged Children To Schools - Hon Bello

The proprietor of Comprehensive Children's  Schools and Comprehensive Academy, COMPRO in Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State, Hon. Wale Bello  has promised that he will not relent in his efforts towards assisting less- privileged children  to have a qualitative education

Hon Bello who also a patron of National Union of Teachers, NUT, Abeokuta North Local Government maintained that the reason he sponsors the education  of less priviledged  children to various schools was to liberate them from poverty.

He disclosed this in an interview with news men in Abeokuta.

The former Councillor who have sponsored about 15  persons to tertiary institutions said that there is nothing he could give less- privileged other than education.

''There's nothing I can give the less-privileged other than education most especially the adolescents. I help to send them to schools whenever I am told that they don't have parents, that their parents want them educated but they don't have the financial ability.

''That they are academically sound but the financial wherewithal is lacking.

He maintained that  he sees education as a tool for liberation.

The former Councillor noted that education is  not only a means to get job That It is a means for guidance.

''I see education as the aggregate of all the processes by means of which a person develops abilities, attitudes and other forms of behaviour of positive values.

''Once you are educated, you are equipped for future. I'm not saying the educated must become millionaires.

''I will continue to sponsor the children who are less-privileged to various school.

He therefore said that he invests in education because he believes that once a child is educated, he or her future is endowed. I believe in sound education because it is the only way to liberate people. No matter how rich a man is if the education is lacking, something is missing. Artisans that are well educated excel better. Market men and women who are well educated always do better. I believe that education is the bearing for livelihood. Psychologically, it makes you to look superior''

According to him, It's innumerable for me to count. Will I count my efforts in the development  of community I live,
Before you can be made Baba Adini of a large area, you must have contributed a lot.

''People must have seen your efforts before mosques and churches invite you almost every month for occasions. I am not going to enumerate what I have done. I leave it to God, he concluded.
