I Am In Gubernatorial Race To Serve My People ------- Ebitimi Amgbare .

Ahead of Bayelsa  governorship election which is slated for November 2019, a foremost chieftain of All Progressive Congress ( APC) in the state , Mr Ebitimi Amgbare ,  who is also a  gubernatorial aspirant   of APC has said he joined politics to serve his people and not for his selfish interest .

Mr Ebitimi Amgbare who is generally referred to as Senior Advocate of the Mases told journalists in his office  that many people go into  election in Bayelsa State to settle themselves  .

It will be recalled that  ahead of Bayelsa gubernatorial race , the People Democratic Party (PDP) has 22 aspirants while All Progressive Congress (APC) has 3 gubernatorial aspirants .

The APC chieftain  who was once a  gubernatorial candidate of the then ACN  in the state said his desire to rule the state is not for his own interest but to serve the good people of Bayelsa .

He explained that he nearly won the last governorship election but INEC and the ruling party ( PDP) colluded to deny him victory in the said election .

Chief Ebitimi Amgbare is not new  in politics in Bayelsa state  . Report has it that he was the frontrunner of then Action Congress of Nigeria ,( ACN) before it metamorphosed to (APC) in Bayelsa State .

The governorship aspirant also noted that in Bayelsa state as at today , there is nothing like bursary to students in the various higher institutions . He promised to introduce bursary to all students  from Bayelsa State in the tertiary institutions in respective of their parental background if  elected into office as the governor of the state .

Speaking on the primary of the party APC , Mr Ebitimi Amgbare said he stands for direct primary because the division to pick a flag bearer is too enormous for the party leaders .

He said if given the chance , he would try his best to make some of the communities in the state liveable through provision  of necessary social amenities with at least minimum of 70million naira every month to each of the Local Government in the state .

He therefore called on Bayelsans to support him so that all his plans for the state can be actualised .He then promised the pensioners which he said is among that better days are coming if he is given the chance to rule the state .
