Ogun APC Governorship Primaries: Students Coalition Group Pass Vote Of Confidence On Oshiomole.

Students coalition group in Ogun state yesterday passed vote of confidence on Adams Oshiomole, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, (APC) for ensuring that the people’s voice counted in the just concluded primaries insisting that he deserved all the accolades for standing in defence of democracy.
The group urged the immediate past governor of Edo State never to be cowed or discouraged by the antics of the few calling for his head for supporting equity, justice and fairness urging him to remain committed to handling the ruling party affairs with God’s given wisdom and wish of the general members of the party.
The group stated this in a statement signed by Comr. Adeyemi Azeez, Convener, Ogun Progressive Youths and Students, Abdul Kabiru Ayoola, Covener, Movement For Secured Nigeria and Idris Muhammad issued during their protest at Abeokuta over what they termed desperate moves by Gov. Amosun to thwart APC governorship mandate given to Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The group carrying placards with various messages, such as Save Ogun, save our mandate given to Dapo Abiodun, Amosun let the will of the people prevail, Stop using our traditional rulers against us, Amosun allow Oshiomole to be among others during their protest held at Ogun NUJ secretariat, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta wondered why Gov. Amosun was hellbent on imposing the candidature of Hon Adekunle Akinlade on the party in the state.
It went further to condemn the governor for dragging the highly revered traditional rulers in the state into murky water of politics insisting that no desperate efforts of the governor would triumph over the the will of general members of the ruling party to have Dapo Abiodun as their governorship candidate for next year election.
The group vowed to resist any attempt to upturn the decision of the highest organ of the party, National Working Committee, (NWC) that had long affirmed and announced Prince Dapo Abiodun as the governorship candidate for Ogun state urging the governor to toe the path of peace and allow the party to begin to get ready for its determined bid to continue serving the people of the state.
