OGSG TO ESTABLISH GATEWAY MORTGAGE BANK AT MOWE

In continuation of its provision of infrastructure and making it easy for business to thrive, the present administration in Ogun State has taken another step to construct a branch of Gateway Mortgage Bank at Mowe, to enable people of the area enjoy facilities provided by the bank.


The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, Mrs. Yetunde Dina, stated this in a chat with newsmen during the demolition exercise carried out at the site designated for the construction of the proposed branch of the Bank.

Dina pointed out that establishing the Bank in the axis would create more employment opportunities and promote ease of doing business, saying that Government would not relent on its Rebuilding Mission.

She said that Gateway Mortgage Bank has paid necessary compensation to owners of the old structures before embarking on the exercise, saying that the State government was committed towards ensuring better standard of living for its citizenry.

‘’We are demolishing these old structures to pave way for commercial bank in the State to ease business activities and also to create employment opportunities for the youths. The owners of the structures have been duly compensated before the exercise began.’’ She said.

In his remarks, the Head of Credit and Mortgage of the Bank, Mr. Toriola Akinwale, commended the State Government for its unflinching support for the bank, noting that the construction of the bank was part of the development plan to the area as it would have huge impact on the economy of the people.

A resident of the area, Mr. Olatunde Adegboyega, said people living at Mowe, Ibafo and its environs, were grateful to the State government for deeming it fit to site the bank in the area, thanking government for paying adequate compensation to the owners of the affected structures even before the commencement of the demolition exercise.
