This is not the best of time for the Kolawole family in Lagos State who lost their only son, Dapo Kolawole as the family is seeking justice for the death of their only Son, Dapo
It was gathered that Dapo Kolawole and one Oladipupo Mitchel Joseph were caught in a crisis that occurred at a popular joint located in Lagos Street, Garki 2, Abuja when a detachment of Police swooped on some suspected LGBTQ.
The joint which was notorious for accommodating people that are known to be members of LGBTQ, constantly witness police invading the area and any suspect arrested is usually taken to court for prosecution.
The event that occurred in August, 8th, 2024 was according to some eyewitnesses led to Police arresting not less than Ten suspected LGBTQ members, with some of them arraigned in the Sharia court of law.
It was gathered that while the Police were on the trail of some of these gay men, some escaped while others sustained injuries.
Among the Injured was Dapo Kolawole, whose injury led to his death.
While Dapo Kolawole was unlucky, his partner Oladipupo was able to escape, while a manhunt was launched in him.
Devastated with the death of their only son, and the circumstances that led to his death, his family members were crying for justice.
The family pointed out that Oladipupo Mitchell Joseph who is an unrepentant bisexual, was the cause of why their son had to die prematurely, accusing Oladipupo of luring their son to the joint where he eventually met his death .
Speaking to Our Correspondent, a Sister to Dapo Kolawole, Ruth Kolawole said her brother was working as an intern in a company where Oladipupo was, and when he got another appointment with a service provider and then moved to Abuja, none of us could tell how the two met again, and therefore led to them engaging in same sex act where police then has to burst the joint where they were caught that day.
She vowed that the family is ready to go to any length to ensure that Oladipupo also faced the full wrath of the law as a bixesual, and ensure that the youths also assist in fishing him out wherever he may be hiding.
Also speaking, a youth leader, Kessington Banjoko said it's very unfortunate that Oladipupo has remained a bad example to the youths and the society.
He said while all efforts are on to ensure that we bring him to justice, we will continue to assist the Police and other Vigilante groups.
He warned that the youths will not tolerate any acts of lawlessness, as LGBTQ people are known to be a vice in the society.
All efforts by our reporter to get the reactions of Oladipupo Mitchell proves abortive as his known mobile number was said to be switched off.
But a member of his family who spoke with our Correspondent said the family is highly disappointed that Oladipupo could continue in such a manner.
Adeolu Olayeni who claimed to be his Uncle said the family has a tradition of cleansing any member of the family found in such a misdemeanor.
He confirmed that every efforts have been made to ensure that Oladipupo Joseph undergo spiritual cleansing, but he kept running from the family.
We might Invoke the spirit of our ancestors on him if all efforts failed, he vowed.
