The chairmanship candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi has denied the report going viral that "he is not ready to reconcile with other chairmanship aspirants" in the local government during a public function during the weekend.
The Chairmanship Candidate was on Tuesday accused by critics of saying that he would not reconcile with other chairmanship aspirants in the local government after securing the party tickets as the flag bearer for the July 24th 2021 council election.
Meanwhile, he approached the party secretariat and Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC alongside his vice candidate, Iretiolu Shotayo to get themselves cleared without allowing the cheap hallucinations to weigh him down.
Majekodunmi described the report as gross misinterpretation, cheap hallucinations that lacks no iota of truth to his calm and easy going behaviour to everyone.
Majekodunmi, in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen, enjoined the public to disregard the report, saying he is a man of peace and he is not ready to into battle ground with any chairmanship aspirants in the local government.
Majekodunmi maintained that as long as they are still in the party, he will continue to be friends of other chairmanship aspirants with the spirit of all-inclusiveness in governance.
'I will like to inform the general public that I didn't make such statement, I was misinterpreted by my co-contesters, I need everyone of them to back me in making All Progressives Congress APC a victorious party in Abeokuta South Local Government come 24th of July 2021, as such, I want to plead for unflinching supports from each and everyone of them in all ways they can to enable us reach the promise land." Majekodunmi added.
"I also want to thank one of our notable and respected leaders in the Abeokuta South, Alhaji Farouq Adeniyi Akintunde, the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to Govenor Abiodun on Environment for his love and support for the party, he has proven to be a leader per excellence, and I will always give it to him any day and anytime.
"Without mincing words, I equally want to appreciate our amiable Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun mfr, leaders and elders of Abeokuta south APC for their efforts in making sure that the premier local government remains a peaceful one''
He therefore implored all his co-contestants to rally round him, saying that they are all winners.
