Hundreds of constituents members from Odeda State Constituency at the weekend received Small Enterprise cash grants from Hon Daisi Elemide, a lawmaker representing Odeda State Constituency, in Ogun State House of Assembly.
Handing over the cash grants to beneficiaries drawn from Osiele Ward and all polling units in the ward at his residence, Hon Elemide thanked them for what he called their overwhelming and encouraging support since he was elected as their representative in the House of Assembly.
He also thanked them for their participation at the just concluded nationwide All Progressives Congress (APC) revalidation exercise.
The Assembly man affirmed that Prince Dapo Abiodun led government in the State has eradicated voter apathy from the nation’s polity through aggressive infrastructural development that translated to the impressive performance of the government which had hitherto place Ogun State on a solid development pedestal.
Hon Elemide while assuring to further expand the grant to all the wards in his Constituency in order to capture many more people, tasked the beneficiaries on judicious use of the funds.
He listed his scorecard in less than two years to include, sponsoring of people and development-friendly bills, creating wealth and payment of JAMB fees and repairing of some boreholes in the Constituency.
Others according to Hon Elemide include creating job opportunities for unemployed youths, attracting State projects and others to the confirmation and thunderous applause of the mammoth crowd.
Hon Elemide who re-echoed his avowed commitment to continue to serve his people to the best of his ability, vowed to continue to be accommodating and throw his political doors open always to attract more members and assured of better days ahead.
Responding, Mrs Adebola Tunrayo who spoke for the beneficiaries made up of aged men and women appreciated Hon Elemide for making them solid self-reliant entrepreneurs, pledged their tacit support for him and enjoined other politicians to emulate him.
The event was witnessed by APC chieftains, party loyalists, community leaders, youths and political functionaries from the local government area.
