Abeokuta — A leading Chairmanship aspirant of Odogbolu local Government Council Area, Dr Tunde Diya bags Distinguished Philanthropist Award during the 5th edition of Most Beautiful Face In Campus, an event which held at Ilese Recreational Centre.
Dr Diya who for the past 2 years has been the sponsor of the Odogbolu Day Celebrations' Beauty Pageant, Video Games Competition and Youth Carnival through his Sports & Entertainment Objective under The Yellow Initiative Programmes, has always been at the epicenter of youth empowerment in Odogbolu. Past winners of the competition have been awarded cash gifts and sponsorships to fashion houses.
Dr Diya who was duly represented, encouraged the youths to combine beauty and brains as this were both God given gifts which must always be put to good use. He admonished the organisers to continue thier efforts in recognising Youths across Ogun state who contribute immensely to the development of youths across the states
Dr. Babatunde Diya is the founder of Doctor Tunde Diya Foundation (DTDF), which has been encouraging, supporting, sponsoring teeming students and youth in his Odogbolu constituency and across the gateway state.
In his remarks, he stated that the student and youth community are the strong bone of the country and the future depend so greatly on the youth. "I appreciate the organizer of this event for their deep thought in deciding to honor me with this award. I want to seize this opportunity to inspire us all once again that this country depend so much on us and we must not fail. Not failing means we need the right approach to life cum with good character and fear of God. Just like we witnessed tonight, the beauty pageant contestants wasn't judge by beauty alone but also by brain and character, these are one of the tools we need to achieve greatness in life" he said.
