Guarantee Trust Bank is one of the leading banks in Nigeria, notoriously known for frustrating customers irrespective of present situation or circumstance their clients are into.

An expectant father, Oderinde Oluwafemi has called out on GTBank to save him from the current mess as he expects his baby in one week time.

Mr Oderinde Oluwafemi with an Ecobank Account number 2961082153 on 3rd of January 2021 in a bid to transfer a sum of #108,000 to his wife's GTBank account number 0016776837 with account name Yetunde Francis made a mistake and transfer to another customer account with the name Soyinka Yeside with account number 0016773867 which he received a transaction error message.

Mr Oluwafemi in conversation with newsmen said "I also own a GTBank account, I wanted to transfer to my wife account so she can buy her baby kits, she is in her 9th month and so heavy and the expected date of delivery is so close, I have been running up and down yet GTBank have had no mercy on me.

"I didn’t even know until I wanted to do a transfer and I was told I have insufficient fund after a week. I immediately went to My Ecobank branch and lodge a complaint, which I was told to calm down, that the money can’t be traced, after some days it was discovered I transferred to the wrong account.

"Ecobank requested I write a letter for reversal which I did, for almost a month that the letter had gone through, GTBank have put my life on hold.

"I have been to different GTBank branches, they told me to go back to Ecobank, it seems like I’m being played by both banks until an Ecobank staff related to me that, it’s only Gtbank that can reverse the money."

Mrs. Francis Yetunde the complainant's wife with her protrude belly kept on crying while relating with our newsmen.

In her words, she said "It was just a mistake, I did not think it should take so long. It’s been more than a month now, I’m due for delivery and yet there’s no sign GTBank will refund the money.

"They are making life miserable for me and my husband right now. I really don’t know how we will pay up for hospital bills and our baby kits."

She added that "The mistakes are in the numbers which she agreed was on their path, but Gtbank should be able to sympathize with us, I had to follow my husband to Dopemu roundabout Branch in Lagos to make a complaints, yet they keep playing us both like a ball.

"I want to appeal to Nigerians to help me tell GTBank to save my life and my unborn child by reversing the said money," she concluded.

A glance at GTBank Official Facebook page shows disappointed customers who have expressed disappointments over poor customer relationship.

According to Mr Levi Ayodele Olusola “I’ve been with your Bank since 2013. But you’ve changed lately. The greatest room on earth is room for improvement. Please change this inhumane pattern. Care for your customers they are not soldiers or slaves. I will stop banking with you soon."
