The attention of the Kwara state House of Assembly has been called to a media report insinuating allocation of some controversial amount of money to various local governments of the State in the 2021 proposed appropriation before the honorable House.
We wish to state that the insinuations in such reports are not true reflection of what is contained in the proposed appropriation, more so, whatever provision in the appropriation remains a 'proposal', until it is passed into Law by the Kwara state House of Assembly.
Consequently, it is the people's budget and various stakeholders would be invited to the public hearing for their sincere observations and contributions when due, for us to have an inclusive budget.
We advise the general public to be wary of circulating information capable of causing incitement among the harmonious people of Kwara state and seek clarifications on budgetary issues when the need arises.
Detailed information about the budget would be published by the House at the appropriate time.
