It was a colourful celebration as the entire Sons and Daughters of Olayinka family celebrates their father, Deacon Michael Atanda Olayinka as he clock 73rd on earth.
The celebration of an Icon was held in his country home at 1, Irepodun street, Surulere quarters Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State.
While speaking to jounrnalists, Pa Olayinka said, he give thanks to God Almighty for the grace he received to be alive celebrating his born day, despite all the challenges and encounter that face him to this levels.
Olayinka explained that he was in Primary two when he lost his father and that he struggled to complete his primary education, after which he went further to learn Mechanical Engineering.
Deacon Michael Atanda Olayinka was born in Iga Ajana compound in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State Nigeria on December 1st, 1947 to the family of Late Pa Emmanuel Dopemu Olayinka and Mrs Julianah Ibironke Olayinka of blessed memory.
He attended his primary education at African Primary School Ilaro between 1956-1962, after which he moved to Oju-Elegba Yaba in Surulere, Lagos State to learn Mechanical Engineering between 1963-1966, having being certified as a professional mechanical engineers.
In 1969 with a passion to defend his country he joined Nigeria Army, and started his careers in Lagos cantoment before he was transferred to Benin city, Enugu and some other parts of the country and which he serve wholeheartedly for many years before he retired in 1983 and established his own personal transportation business "Egbado Line Transport".
He got married to his heartthrob, Madam Risikat Olayinka from the family of Olanite in Ibara Orile town of Ogun State in 1975 and the marriage was blessed with successful children and grand children.
Deacon Michael Atanda Olayinka was among the 3rd set of Deacon at First Baptist Church Ilaro, Ilu Ata Quarters, Ilaro Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State till date. And he was honour as best Deacon in evangelism and church grower.
