Fraudulent people operating Facebook, Twitter accounts in my name - Sunday Igboho raises alarm

Sunday Igboho, whose real name is Sunday Adeyemo on Tuesday said some fraudulent Nigerians were set to defraud innocent citizens using fake social media accounts in his name.

Mr. Adeyemo who is embroiled in a crisis with the government following his ultimatum to criminal herdsmen, warned Nigerians against associating with Facebook and Twitter accounts in his name

Recall that Igboho’s house was on Tuesday set on fire by unknown arsonists.

He gave the warning while addressing journalists at his Ibadan residence.

Adeyemo used the opportunity to dissociate himself from several accounts on social media platforms, especially Facebook and Twitter.

NATIONAL TRUMPET gathered that some social media accounts such as Twitter have been posting unverified information in Adeyemo’s name.

Adeyemo has however dissociated himself from the accounts.

He warned Nigerians not to be scammed by persons using his name on social media platforms.

Adeyemo added that the accounts are being operated fraudulently by impostors.

While speaking on the level of damage done to his house, Adeyemo said about fifty million Naira worth of property was damaged.

“The worth of what was destroyed at my house cannot be less than N50 million.

“Those who were at the house are the ones who can give an explanation to that because I wasn’t there.

“What they said was that they came with about five cars. I can’t tell for sure because I wasn’t there.”
