It’s a season of giving and the people of Remo town are not left out as Adron homes puts smiles on the faces of individuals and families. The annual Iyaniwura festival, which has been in existence for over 20 years, took a different twist this year. The event being anchored by the Ambassador of Adron home; the delectable Mr. Saheed Balogun took a leap away form the regular carnival like celebrations to a holistic empowerment event following all the social distancing protocols. The day kicked off with a Medical exercise where health practitioners led by the Amiable Special Adviser to the Governor of Ogun State on health in the person of Dr. Layo Omojule. 

Following the challenges the country is facing in the health sector; from inadequate facilities to under staffed facilities nationwide; This years sponsors (Adron Homes and properties) focused on bringing succor to citizens by catering to their health and well being because the company believes that health is indeed wealth. The specialists carried out various health checks on citizens and administered medication for diverse ailments free of charge whilst adhering to the social distancing code. Hundreds of people enjoyed free tests from blood pressure to eye test and General health consultations this brought with it a boost of hope to the community in this very challenging economic situation the country is facing. Mr. Olakunle Oladunni, one of the recipients of the health checks said this is a very thoughtful initiative and is particularly excited because by participating in this checks, he did not only get the required treatment from excellent doctors, but also the huge amount he was able to save will now be put towards his children’s school fees.

The day came to a close with Adron homes presenting empowerment items to individuals to either boost or start their small businesses in the coming year; bearing in mind the crippling effect COVID-19 has had on businesses; this indeed is a breath of fresh air and revival to individuals who have lost hope said Aminat Idris another recipient of a generator set; she further stated that this item will help add value to her beauty business. In his remarks, the chairman of Shagamu Local Government Hon. Gbenga Banjo lauded this initiative thanking the sponsors and participnats; whilst presenting empowerment items to recipients, The Area commander Mr. Junaid Buja charged recipients to be diligent in their work and grow their businesses to the point of supporting the community at large. In attendance were numerous dignitaries including Otunba Kayode and Barrister Kemi Osunde.

In his remarks the Group Managing Director of Adron Homes, The Asiwaju of Makun Kingdom and Otun Akile of Remoland in the person of Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing urged recipients to be diligent and industrious with the items given to them as it is a show of trust in their entrepreneurial spirit as a city and the onus lies on them to grow their businesses and create employment. He further stressed that as the show of love has been exhibited today, each recipient is therefore charged to pass it on by showing the same love and kindness to the people within their community by a show of good deed. He furthered enjoined other well-meaning Nigerians to play their part in building their communities and impacting lives because Nigerian Lives matter.
