Reps Deputy Minority Whip, Adekoya Mourns Buruji Kashamu

......Inna li-Ilahi wa Ina ilaehi rojiun.

The Deputy Minority Whip, House Of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya has mourned Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu who died this afternoon after Coronavirus complications.

According to him:

I received the news of the passing on of Sen. Buruji Kashamu with a rude shock. I have been hit by an arrow and I am beyond words. My eyes are tearful as I grieve. This death is one too many for me personally. This is unbelievable!

Sen. Buruji Kashamu stood tall among equals. He was a rare being whose sense of duty, patriotism, integrity, justice and Omoluabi spirit have no equal.

He would stand by you once he believed in you, even when the rest of the world is against you. He was a fighter, a grassroots politician, a philanthropist of no match, a man whose passion for humanity stood him out among his contemporaries and indeed a big man both in stature and in deed.

I am a personal beneficiary of his munificence as my political memoirs will not be complete without a chapter or more dedicated to his roles in my emergence as member of House of Representatives in the 8th and the current 9th National Assembly. Oh, what a loss!

I am in no doubt that the shoes he left behind will be hard if not impossible to fill. He has left a huge vacuum. May Allah grant his wife, children, loved ones, political and business associates and the entire Constituency the fortitude to bear the loss.

Farahun wa royanu wa jannati naim

My heart goes out to his wife, children and extended family members.

Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid,(ATTACKER),Deputy Minority Whip 9th Assembly,House of Representatives
