APC SUPPORTERS UNLEASH MAYHEM ON APM SUPPORTERS FOLLOWING THE COURT OF APPEALS DECISION

No fewer than 10 families have been attacked following the Nov 11, 2019 Apex court's ruling affirming the election of Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun as the duly democratically elected governor of Ogun state in the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Ogun state.

It was gathered that most of the witnesses called by the APM and it's governorship candidate Hon. Adekunle Akinlade have been targeted and attacked within the Abeokuta metropolis and it's environs.

In Sokenu Area of Abeokuta, Chief Ibironke Gabriel and his wife Chief (Mrs.)Dorcas Ibironke were attacked. Mr & Mrs Ibironke are the parent of Hon. Ibironke Femi Samuel who was part of the witness called by the APM counsel in the legal tussle. In the same vein, Mrs. Okusi Ayodola Mayowa's residence was also attacked and her vehicles were vandalized. When our correspondence visited her residence, we confirmed that she wasn't at home when the hoodlums stormed her premises. Mrs. Okusi is the woman leader of the Allied People's Movements (APM)in Abeokuta south local government. Also in Abeokuta, the residence of Hon. Iskil Adegoke Somoye was also attacked and his aged father Mr. Nafiu Ayinde Somoye was killed in the process at Somoye Compound,  Akogun Village,  Kajola, Obafemi Local Council Development Area, Obafemi, Ogun State.
In Odeda area of Ogun state, the ancient family residence of Hon.Olawunmi Olalekan Yussuf who was the leader of the Abeokuta North Local Government legislative arm before the Dapo Abiodun led State Government truncated the local Government Administration across Ogun State was attacked and his father Elder Nurudeen Olawunmi at Olawunmi's House,  Alagbagba Village,  Odeda, Odeda LG, Ogun  State also killed in what seems like a plan to wipe out the supporters of APM.

Interestingly, the residence of an Uncle of a female leader and a staunch member of the APM; Adenike Akindele was also attacked in far away Imo state in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Mr Olugbenga Paul was reported to have escaped death by the whiskers when the APC stormed his residence and ransacked the premises.

When contacted on the telephone, the police image maker in Ogun state, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incidence and assured our correspondent that there is a clamp down on all political thugs across the state and promised that the police are doing all within their power to return normalcy across the state. He further warned that no culprit  will escape the full wrath of the law.
