Ogun- The member of house of assembly representing Imeko Afon state constituency has accused the members of All Progressives Confess APC of witch hunting the African Democratic Congress ADC members in the constituency. He said the APC stalwart always approach them as rivals with their beliefs of defecting to their party anytime soon.
This was revealed after a pandemonium in Imeko Afon local government during the week following a crisis between the youths and Honorable Jemili Akingbade, member of Ogun State House of Assembly OGHA that lead to arrests of so many youths in the constituency, Amebo Online Newspaper gatherered.
According to Honorable Jemili Akingbade when contacted on phone, he explained to our correspondent, saying the crisis ravaging the constituency was as a result of selfishness on the side of the stalwart of All Progressives Congress APC in Imeko Afon based on the ongoing cow toll revenue in the local government which they objected sharing the contract with constituents.
Honorable Jemili Akingbade said:
"The cow revenue contract was awarded to one of the stalwart loyal to former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Biodun Ojumola but immediately the Allied People's Movement APM looses the election, Honorable Sola Oke who is an All Progressive Congress APC approached the APM guy telling him to remit One hundred thousands Naira to him in other not to terminate the appointment which the contractor did., As the honorable representing my constituency I am responsible to deliver the youths by providing job and restoring peace to the community."
"As the honorable representing Imeko Afon constituency at the house of assembly, I am entitled to the toll revenue and that is what I requested from the local government and I am so surprised, Honorable Sola Oke could mobilise the youths after brainwashing them to come to my house to wade war on my family with sophisticated weapons, I made the report to the appropriate quarter when the youths came to the gate of my house to threaten my family."
I am so surprised the All Progressive Congress APC members in Imeko Afon constituency always sees the African Democracy Congress ADC as threats despite our defection to work with Governor Dapo Abiodun based on his relationship with our governorship candidate in the last election, Alhaji Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka, we are committed to working to working with Ogun State government to fulfil the electoral promises to the people through all inclusive governance Honorable Jemili Akingbade added.
Honourable Akingbade has be so supportive to the youth of Imeko Afon over the years, he is a man of the people known with his humanitarian services.
