Oluomo Becomes Ogun Speaker

The former deputy speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly , Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo has become the speaker of Ogun 9th Assembly . 

Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo emerged unopposed on the floor of the Assembly by members of the state Assembly during the inauguration of the 9th legislature at the state Assembly complex .

Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo , who comes from Ifo state constituency 1 , was deputy speaker in the last 8th Assembly . The Speaker was elected into the state House of Assembly in 2011 and he has since remained the best choice for the people of his constituency to represent them at the state House of Assembly .

The new speaker , was full of praises as he thanked the honourable members for believing in him and he promised to work hand in hand with them for the progress of the State and the Assembly in general .

It is believed that the new speaker will work for the interest of the state because  of how he distance self from the last government particularly when the then governor was derailing .

On the deputy speaker , hon. Oludare O. Kadiri from Ijebu North state constituency 11 , was also elected unopposed as the deputy speaker of the 9th Assembly . 

Among the people that attended the occasion are : former speakers of Ogun State House Assembly , former honourable members , traditional rulers friends and families of the honourable members .
