At a press conference held today Wednesday 9th of May, 2018 at Ilesa, the family house of Eso dynasty will support one of their own to become the next and fifth governor of Osun State in the 2018 election.
A tycoon and industrialist who is one of the elder brothers of Tunde Eso, a leading governorship aspirant in Osun State under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party, said Tunde has made the family proud as he has been doing extremely well in his bid for the past two years. According to him, "Tunde Eso is my brother and I'm proud of him; he has at least maintained the dignity of the family and used the family name well by showing to the world that we have intellectuals who can run the affairs of our beloved state. Therefore, we have unanimously agreed to back him with 2billion naira so that he can succeed in his aspiration".
Tunde Eso at the meeting emphasised that the contest is a vision but also a collective mandate of everyone. "We the Eso family of ilesa have produced one of the best jurists in Nigeria in the person of late Justice Kayode Eso." he said.
Tunde Eso has promised the family that he will not put them to shame and also appealed to Osun State indigenes at home and abroad to support him as he is the youngest and the best person for Osun State governorship contest at this moment
