World acclaimed film maker and movie entrepreneur, Kene Mkparu, who is also the CEO of West and North Africa's biggest cinema chains, FilmOne distribution and FilmHouse Cinemas, will be taking aspiring as well as filmmakers the nitty gritty of film making in a Master Class tagged ' Film Making Master Class with Kene Mkparu' on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Film House Cinemas, Ishor, Benin City by 9 am.
TRENDINGMETRO gathered that the project which will be facilitated by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen's Benin Film Academy is poise to guide on 'How to make big cinema movies as well as tips on accessing finance and delivering quality productions'.
The 5-day event which will start on Wednesday February 21, 2018 with a Master class lecture with Kene who has garnered over 26 years experience in film making and distribution, will also feature the first graduation ceremony and short films screening of Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen's Benin Film Academy Students in collaboration with Igbinedion University, Okada, Benin City at Kada Cinema, Benin City.
Elated Lancelot who's now the most consisted movie maker in Nigeria exclusively told us that, " there has been a consistent move by me to make my place of birth a hub as far as movie production is concerned in Nigeria and that is why I'm turning Benin and the whole of Niger/Delta in to a location hub for Nollywood, then getting both government and the people interested in the business of filmmaking."
Lancelot said, " bringing Kene Mkaparu who owns the biggest cinema chains in Nigeria, West and the North Africa for a workshop as part of Benin film academy workshop series is a conscious attempt to stimulate movie makers, graduants, students and government, of the potentials inhabited in filmmaking around the geographical zone so that everyone won't be running down to Lagos for film making and distribution."
