Whether
you are ready or not, one day all will come to an end. There will be no sunrise
or night, no minute, hours or seconds, no days or night. All things you
collected whether treasured or forgotten will pass to someone else. Your
wealth, fame and power will become irrelevant. It wouldn’t matter what you own
or what you don’t love, your grudges, frustrations or jealous will finally
disappear too, your hopes, ambitions or plans. The gains and losses that were
once important will fade away.
It
doesn’t matter where you come from, it doesn’t matter if you are beautiful or
brilliant. Your gender or skill, colour will become irrelevant. What will
matter is not what you bought, but what you built, not your success but your
significance.
What
will matter is not what you learnt but what you taught. What matters is your
act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifices that enriched and powered
others to emulate your example. What matters is not your competence, but your
character.
What
matters is not how many people you knew but how many people you were able to
inspire or how many people that’ll feel a lasting loss when you are gone. What
matters are not your memories, but the memories that live in the heart of those
who loved you. What matters is how long you’ll be remembered, by whom and for
what. What matter is not the path you thread but the path you laid for people
to tread.
What
matters is not your role model but those who would make you their role model.
What matters is not the judgement you’ve passed but the kind of judgement that
would be passed on you. A former governor once said “In all our actions, we
have ensured that we provide responsive and responsible leadership that answers
to the needs of the people.”
Living
a life that matters doesn’t happen by chance. It is a matter of choice; our God
does not sleep nor slumber, He allows certain things to take place se that He
can show Himself to be the Almighty and He alone would take the glory for our
achievements in life. Choose to live a life that matters. Treat others the way
you want them to treat you. What you do today, people will never forgets
tomorrow.
Your
existence into this world needs to have a positive change either in other
person’s life or in your society and God in heaven must recognise you that
truly you’ve made an impact when existing. You can only live a life that
matters in Jesus who gives grace to us.
Only
two things will a man be remembered for in this world no matter the category,
i) the problem created and ii) the problem solved. Just as the matter of Adam
and Jesus, Adam whom God believed that he’ll made the wish of God was the one
who created the problem we are now facing in the whole world today in more than
ten thousand years ago.
No
one will forget Adam for the problem he created, now thank God for Jesus who
came to overcome all the problems Adam created during his existence. Can Jesus
be forgotten? Never! The hope of our salvation can never be forgotten.
What
matters is not the house(s) you were able to build in this sin world but the
house that you are planning to build in your father’s compound which is heaven.
Let’s assumed that you are not a citizen of this nation, you had been in this
nation for the past sixty years, you’d succeeded and built houses and has
companies which are only within this nation.
A
year now came that war started and the president of the nation announces that
all the non-citizens should evacuate within one week without taking anything
out. Getting to your fatherland that you’d left in your childhood in which you
don’t establish anything there, what do you think will happen? That’s exactly
how heaven is.
Without
having Jesus, do you think your connections and fames on earth heaven
recognises you? Have you ever for once thought that all your inheritance on
earth will follow you when you died? Years back, a rich man, when he was about
to die after suffering from a strange sickness told his wife to sell half of
his belongings, delivered the money in the bank, write the check and drop it
inside the coffin for him on the burial day so that when he gets to heaven he
can re-establish himself.
Novice!
I laughed when I heard the story and the question I asked was that “Is it true
that there’s bank in heaven?” from my existence to this world, I had never for
once heard that there is bank in heaven, though many believed that when people
died, they went to another city or nation to start a new life before the Rapture.
But as for me, I don’t believe.
Brother
Job, one of the Christian heroes said “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb,
and naked shall I return”. Life without Jesus is like a gun without bullet
because the gun is of no use. What shall it profit a man that gained the whole
world and lose his own soul? You are what you are not by your own power or
intelligence but by the grace and power of God.
Finally
reader, All your inheritances on earth are not your hard-work but everything
came from above with the “Yes” of God according to James 1:17. Nothing matters
than your commitments unto God. You may think what you’re doing is right but
doing good without Jesus Christ is a waste of time. What matters is not those
who believe in you but what you believe in and what you can only believe in is
Jesus Christ.
Never
belong to the category perdition like Judas never believe in Jesus despite he
was a close associate but rather belong to the category of the prodigal son who
stray off and later repent. One thing I always believe is ‘Life is vanity’ and
a particular musician sang that “vanity upon vanity all is vanity”. The wise
does what he needs to do once while the fool will do it last.
It is now left to you whether you chose to live a
life that matters with recognition on earth or you chose to live a life that
matters with recognition in heaven. The ball is in your court!!!
Prayer: Oh Lord my father, if I am working in the
wrong position, reposition my step
Father
Lord, give me the grace to live a life that matters in you
All the way to your SUCCESS
